Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
The quote tool only needs six pieces of information: your gender, date of birth, general health category, tobacco use, the coverage amount you want, and how many years you want the coverage. We don't ask for your name, phone number, or address to show you carrier quotes. Those personal details are only collected if you choose to proceed with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The prices shown are the rates individual carriers quote for the health class you selected. After you apply, the carrier completes underwriting and sets the final premium, which may stay the same, improve, or change based on their review. Important: nothing on this site is an offer of insurance or a guarantee of any particular price.
What happens when I click Apply?
When you choose a carrier and click Apply, you provide your name and the application is built from the exact quote you selected. From there, you continue into the carriers' secure application system. You can pause and come back to finish later. When the time comes to sign, you do it electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), handles the entire application process.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on three factors: which carrier, the coverage amount, and the answers you give. Some carriers can issue coverage immediately for qualifying applicants without a medical exam; others may require one. Each quote you see on this site tells you whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that specific product.
Is a longer term better?
A term should match the period when your death would create financial hardship for your family: the years of a mortgage, children at home, business debt, or other obligations. Longer terms mean higher monthly payments but lock in your rate for more years. This tool shows you what 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year terms cost side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
No. We don't use names or contact information from the quote tool, we don't sell or share visitor data, and our site measurement uses no cookies. Visit the privacy page for the complete picture of what information is collected and who collects it.
